This tour begins at 7:30 am; begin with a visit to the suburban district 1, going to cross Cau Mong bridge to district 4. The first stop is at Xom Chieu market, rubbing elbows with the locals as they bargain for goods; the cacophony of noises, colours, and smells is invigorating.
Then, wander deeply inside the local resident, get through the alleys, and have fun by the old stories about district 4 that used to be a mafia district 20 years ago and learning how the city’s residents live.
Transferring to Chinatown in District 5 to visit some highlights, such as Thien Hau Pagoda, which is well known as the most beautiful temple there, and strolling around into Fish Aquarium Street and Herbal Medicine Street, a glimpse of the Chinese community. Then, pause at a coffee shop to relax and soak in the atmosphere before continuing your walk.
The tour concludes at the Nguyen Thiên Thuat apartment, which is one of the old ones in District 3. To experience the atmosphere by climbing up the apartment building was quite something and a great way to observe local life.
